You may NOT be BOTH an affiliate and a drop shipper. You must choose one or the other. If you fill out both applications, then both will be rejected.

Then our Affiliate Program just may be for you! No need to hold “parties”! No need to pay a huge fee to get started (it's free)! Earn 10% commission with the Affiliate Program; PLUS 10% commission/rebate on personal orders! Most affiliate programs do not allow you to order for yourself and get a commission on your own orders! But ALOC does! Plus you will receive a 3% commission on sales from the affiliates that found us through your affiliate link! In addition you may also use any current coupons and save even more!

Sign Up & General Information

What makes an affiliate program different from a representative or consultant program?

Although there are a lot of companies out there that use the term "Affiliate Program" to describe a representative or consultant program, they are using that term incorrectly. An "Affiliate Program" is a program where you sign up with a particular company, and then you are given an affiliate number and special link to place on your own website or in your email signature line. When you have visitors that click through on that link and make a purchase from the company, you will receive a commission for the sale. The customer that came through your link is the customer of the COMPANY and not the affiliate. You are basically getting a commission for sending the customer to the company website and that is it. In a representative or consultant program, you sign up with the company, then you will sell the product for the company through a website (either your own or one that has been set up for you by the company), catalogs, brochures or home parties. Your customers remain YOUR customers. You are representing the company as a salesperson. Many consultant programs also have sales minimums or encourage "team" building. You are generally responsible for the "team" of people that sign up under you. Not so in an affiliate program. Normally you never know the people that come into the affiliate program through your link.

You MUST have your own website or blog in order to join the affiliate program. You will receive a link to place on your own site to promote A Love of Coffee, and you should place it in a prominent place on your site; the best place is the HOME PAGE of your site. Sites must be family friendly. If you own a site that sells adult products we reserve the right to reject your affiliate application. We do not accept sites that contain racial, religious or sexual orientation intolerance. We do not accept sites that are using graphics without a link back to the creator! We also do not accept sites that are unprofessional in appearance; for instance sites that contain typos, errors, flashing text, moving photos, POP UPS, music, or anything else that would be deemed unprofessional. We do not accept sites that promote or advocate cruelty to animals. If your site is rejected on any basis, you agree by applying that you will not take your rejection to a public forum for ANY REASON! We won’t bash your site on a public forum, so don’t bash us for rejecting it!

With the affiliate program you are NOT allowed to use our product photos and descriptions on your own site! You may use ONLY the affiliate buttons/banners that are provided for the affiliate program. If you are found to have any of our photos or graphics on your site, you will be asked to remove them and you will be removed from the affiliate program. We maintain an Affiliate Mailing List and you are REQUIRED to join that mailing list in order to receive updates and information regarding the affiliate program. You will be sent joining instructions once you have completed the affiliate application. If you do not join the mailing list, you are NOT an affiliate. If you do not join the mailing list within 3 days of joining the affiliate program, your application to join the program will be declined. Even if you place your link on your site, your commissions will not be tracked unless you are on the mailing list. You MUST sign up for the mailing list using the same email address you used to sign up for the program. You must provide your FULL NAME (first and last) for the mailing list or your affiliate application will be declined. This same email address MUST be added to your PayPal account as well. We will attempt ONE TIME to pay your commissions to this email address. You will receive an email telling you that you have received it. If this email address is not on your PayPal account, and you do not add it, you will lose those commissions. You will have 48 hours to add the email and claim the commission or it will be forfeited.

Your affiliate status will be considered inactive until you have placed the link on your site, we have been able to verify it, and you have joined the affiliate mailing list. Until you have completed these steps and become active, no clicks or sales will be credited to your account. If you have not complied with these terms within 48 hours of signing up, your affiliate application will be deleted.

When you sign up for the program you will receive a couple of emails that contain important information. It is imperative that you read & keep the information in those emails! If you do not get an email that contains your username and password as well as one from US with other information in it, then check your Bulk/SPAM folders first. Then email us to let us know you didn't get them.

Commissions

All commission tracking is done through MTracker, on the Mal’s E-commerce shopping cart program. If you have any problems with the affiliate tracker, such as login, etc. we can contact MTracker on your behalf if you need us to.

Your affiliate link is specially coded and will set a "cookie" on the customer's computer. That cookie lasts for 60 days. If the customer comes through your link, whether they place an order at that time or not, and they return within 30 days, you will still get a commission on the order. In other words, once they have clicked your link, you will get commission on any and all orders they may place within a 30 day period. This works for your own orders as well. Simply place an order through your own affiliate link and your commission will be added to your affiliate account.

In addition to the 10% commission you will earn on sales generated through your affiliate link, we now also offer a 3% commission on orders placed through the links of the affiliates that you refer! If someone signs up for the ALOC affiliate program, and they found us through your affiliate link, you will receive 3% commission on the sales they generate! Once they come through your link and sign up, then you are finished with your part. This is not a "team building" or "mentoring" program. You will simply receive a commission for "finding" the new affiliate.

To receive your 10% commission/rebate on your own orders, you must place your order through your own affiliate link. No exceptions. Simply click the banner, button or link on your site and place your order. You will pay full price at that time, however 10% commission will be placed into your affiliate account at the time of your order. This is similar to a rebate offer at a store. You will receive a "return" on your orders in the form of a commission at the first of each month. Remember, if you do not place your order through your own affiliate link, then you will NOT receive your rebate on the order. You MUST have cookies enabled on your computer for this to work. The best way to ensure that this will work is to clear your cookie cache BEFORE you go through your link to place your order (you should be clearing it from time to time anyway for optimization of your computer’s performance). This will help your computer to set the cookie properly. If you are unsure how to clear your cache, then refer to your own computer’s help files for assistance.

Each month regardless of the amount of money in your affiliate account, l will send it to you via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may sign up for one HEREor by using the banner at the bottom of the page. If you do not have a Paypal account and do not wish to sign up for one, then you must have some type of account for accepting credit cards, so that we may pay you (we will pay you via credit card for you to process). Otherwise you MUST take your commission in store credit. There is no exception to this! Commissions will be sent to the email address that you used to sign up for the affiliate program. Please be sure that THAT email address is added to your PayPal account! We will attempt to send your commission ONCE. If you do not claim the commission within 3 days, the payment attempt will be cancelled and the commission will be considered "paid" by ALOC. Commissions are paid once per month, usually on the 1st thru the 10th.

We DO offer bonuses for top affiliate sales in any one month! If you have the top sales for any one month, then you will receive a bonus of 5% bonus commission on all sales. You must meet the minimum sales of $250 to qualify for bonuses, excluding shipping and/or taxes. The bonus will be paid separately from your regular affiliate account (it will not show up on your online account in the affiliate section, it will be manually recorded in our files and paid separately from your regular commissions.) So watch your affiliate account for accumulated sales for any one month! You may just be eligible to receive this bonus!

If you are actively promoting your affiliate link, and encouraging others to place orders through your link, then you should make sales. However, we make absolutely no guarantees of any amount of income.

We have no required commission minimums, however, any affiliates that remain inactive for a period of 3 months may be removed from the program to make room for others that are serious and wish to create an extra income for themselves. You should place your affiliate link in a prominent place on your website so that you will get visitors and sales (your home page is best). If you bury it in your links pages somewhere, you will not succeed in making any money and will be removed from the program. A great way to promote your link is by joining various swap & networking groups (that allow you to place affiliate links).

Once an affiliate has reached $600 in total commissions during any calendar year, the affiliate will be REQUIRED to fill out and submit a W9 tax form. This will be sent to the affiliate and it is REQUIRED that it be returned. If it is not, then any further commissions will be withheld until it is. All commissions for any affiliate that reaches at least $600 will be reported to the IRS and must be claimed on the affiliate's tax return.

Other Information:

VERY IMPORTANT: This is an affiliate program and NOT a consultant program. You are not an employee or representative of A Love of Coffee! We do not provide sales materials, sales support, web sites, or any other types of “consultant” services. In order to receive a 20% commission on affiliate sales (and a 20% "rebate" on your own orders) you MUST use your affiliate link that will send all orders to the online shopping cart. NO EXCEPTIONS. We do not give commissions on email or call-in orders. We do this to make tracking commissions simple so that we can bring you the best possible customer service! Normally there is NO problem placing orders on the site! Please do not email us and tell us “So and so SAID they ordered through my link and it is not showing a commission for me.” If they order through YOUR link it WILL show a commission. If in some cosmic twist of fate, this does occur, however, we can cancel the order, and allow the customer to clean out their computer cache, revisit your site and order again. Remember COOKIES MUST BE ENABLED ON YOUR CUSTOMER’S COMPUTER AND THEY MUST HAVE MEDIUM TO LOW SECURITY SETTINGS IN ORDER FOR THE COMMISSION TO BE CALCULATED! WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOUR CUSTOMER’S COMPUTER IS SET UP TO DO THIS AND WE DO NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THIS! IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO CLEAR OUT COOKIES & TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES FROM TIME TO TIME OR COOKIES WILL NOT BE TRACKED CORRECTLY! IF COMMISSIONS ARE NOT SHOWING ON AN ORDER THAT SHOULD BE THEN IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF A LOVE OF COFFEE, AND WE WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT!

If you are removed from the affiliate program for inactivity and you have pending commissions of less than $10 you will NOT receive them. You MUST have an active account to remain a member and an active account to receive your commissions. Once you have been removed you will NOT receive any commissions on orders placed through your link.

By filling out and submitting the Affiliate Application, you are agreeing to ALL terms as stated above. These terms are subject to change without notice because certain situations can arise that we have no control over, or that we were unable to foresee; please review them often. You agree to abide by any and all changes. Violation of any terms of the Affiliate Program will result in immediate termination and you will lose all commissions that you have coming to you.
